Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announces the release of new T83 series Tantamount® solid tantalum chip capacitors, designed to provide high reliability and a choice of standard and low-ESR values in five different surface-mount case sizes.

Key Device Specifications:
• Capacitance range of 0.1 µF to 330 µF and voltage range from 4 V to 50 V
• Optional low-ESR values down to 0.1 Ω at 25 °C and 100 kHz
• Capacitance tolerance of ± 20 % and ± 10 %
• Operating temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C
• SnPb terminations are standard; lead (Pb)-free, RoHS-compliant 100 % tin and gold terminations are available on request
• Weibull grading and surge-current test options per MIL-PRF-55365 are available
• Compatible with high-volume automatic pick and place equipment

The Perspective:
