Environment : 50%, or lower, relative humidity
Coating : M-Coat A , or M-Coat C , or M-Coat D , or M-Coat F

Field Applications

Environment : Outdoor installations, shielded from rain and snow
Coating : M-Coat F , or M-Coat J

High Humidity, Water Splash

Environment : Laboratory and field applications under damp or wet conditions, short term
Coating : 3140 RTV or 3145 RTV

Environment : Same as above but long term
Coating : W-1 Wax or M-Coat F

Water Immersion

Environment : Short term, fresh or salt water
Coating : Teflon Film + M-Coat B (on vinyl-insulated leadwires) + M-Coat J , or W-1 Wax

Environment : Long term, fresh water
Coating : As shown here; or W-1 Wax , or M-Coat F

Recommended protective coating system for gage installations which must operate submerged in water for long periods of time.

Environment : Long term, salt water
Coating : As shown above plus metal cap and conduit for leadwires

Environment : High-pressure water, short term
Coating : As shown above or M-Coat F , or W-1 Wax

Steam

Environment : +212°F (+100°C), long-term installation
Coating : Hermetically sealed metal cap, and conduit for leadwires

Concrete Surfaces

Environment : Long-term installation
Coating : As shown above ; preceded by AE-10 or GA-61 to seal concrete surface

Oils & Gasoline

Environment : Commercial oils, to +180°F (+80°C), gasoline, kerosene
Coating : M-Coat D plus two or three layers of M-Coat B ; or 3145 RTV + M-Coat B

Environment : Synthethic oils, to +200°F (+95°C)
Coating : Two or three layers of M-Bond 43-B ; or GA-61

High-Temperature Air

Environment : To +500°F (+260°C), with good mechanical protection
Coating : M-Bond GA-61 (short term); or 3145 RTV
