Mark VIII Soldering Unit
Specially designed for strain gage soldering,
the Micro-Measurements Mark VIII Soldering Station
continuously monitors and maintains the soldering
tip temperature, greatly reducing the risk of
damage to the gage tabs during the soldering
operation. The front panel is conveniently marked
to indicate the recommended temperature setting for
the type of solder in use. Excellent thermal
recovery characteristics of the soldering pencil
ensure efficient soldering, in the laboratory or in
the field.
The Mark VIII is compact, and the soldering pencil
has a thin grip for easy use. The ceramic heating
element and integral temperature sensor provide
rapid heat-up, with minimum overshoot.
The complete soldering station includes the
control unit, detachable soldering pencil,
soldering pencil holder, and M8S-A and M8S-B
soldering tips, one each.
