About
The
Interactive Guide to Strain Gage Technology
is an encyclopedia of Vishay Measurements Group
product and technical information published as
interactive hypertext in the HTML medium. Also, Java
applets are incorporated throughout the Guide for
making calculations related to strain measurements.
Accordingly, a hypertext browser supporting HTML 3.0
code and Java programs is required to fully utilize
all the features of this publication.
Navigation
The information in the
Interactive Guide to Strain Gage Technology
is contained in a collection of related -- but
unordered -- topics with hyperlinks that both bind
the topics together and make them randomly
accessible. Any topic spanning more than one page is
contained in a "browse sequence", a
sequential series of pages. A browse sequence may
subsequently contain one or more subtopics with each
in an embedded browse sequence. Each browse sequence
is preceded by an index. (The
Home Page
is the topmost index.)
- Navigation throughout the
Interactive Guide to Strain Gage Technology
is accomplished by use of hyperlinks and browse
sequences. In addition to the hyperlinks
incorporated throughout the text, the
Home Page
contains numerous indexes with hyperlinks to
specific topics. (Of these indexes, the
Topical Index
is the most general.) Buttons at the bottom of
each page (except the Home Page) are used to
navigate through the browse sequences as follows:
-
Mark
beginning
and
end
of a browse sequence.
Move
forward
in a browse sequence.
Move
backward
in a browse sequence.
Return to the
Index
for the browse sequence.
Return to the
Interactive Guide
and
Web Site Home Pages
.
Charts, tables, and Java calculators related to a
topic are generally not included in the browse
sequence, and these must be accessed through a
hyperlink in either the text or a related index.
