How It Works

1 - Bearing Assembly 2 - Cantilever Spring Elements 3 - Wedge 4 - Strain Gages 5 - Crimp Ring 6 - Body 7 - Spindle 8 - Spindle Clip

As the spindle (7) is displaced into the sensor body (6), the wedge (3), attached to the spindle, deflects the spring elements (2) and increases the strain in the strain gages (4) located near the fixed end of each spring element.
