Gage Installation Techniques   Environmental Protection   This sequence details application of protective coatings and leadwire anchoring procedure for severe environments. Coatings protect against moisture and other contaminants which might affect gage stability. This applies to both encapsulated and open-faced gages, and their leadwire connections. Protection should be applied as soon as practical after gage installation, even in an air-conditioned laboratory.
