Gage Resistance

As noted in the discussion of gage pattern, there are often advantages from selecting the 350-ohm resistance if this resistance is compatible with the instrumentation to be used. This decision may be influenced, however, by cost considerations, particularly in the case of very small gages. Some reduction in fatigue life can also be expected for the high-resistance small gages.
