NOTEBOOK Experiments for Students Most issues of NOTEBOOK have included an exercise for students to perform that incorporates strain measurement. While copies of back issues of NOTEBOOK are still available, a number of readers have requested that these experiments be made available in a single volume. And, we are now in the process of doing just that. As time permits, the exercises from past issues of NOTEBOOK are being reproduced as hypertext documents. Those which have been completed to date are now listed in the Index of Student Exercises . Each experiment is being revised during reproduction to work in coordination with the Interactive Guide to Strain Gage Technology . With this interface, detailed information about the recommended strain gages, installation materials, and instrumentation, as well as the proper gage installation, strain measurement, and data reduction techniques, is readily available to your students.
