Compared to previous-generation TSOP-6 devices from various suppliers, on-resistance for these new LITTLE FOOT® devices has been reduced by as much as 61%, making them a compact replacement for larger packages or multiple SOT-23 power MOSFETs in cell phones, notebook computers, digital cameras, pagers, and many other space-constrained electronic systems. The four devices released today by Vishay Siliconix include two dual p-channel devices offering designers a choice of a P20-V breakdown voltage with 200 milliohms on-resistance at P4.5-V gate drive (Si3909DV) or an P8-V breakdown voltage with 125 milliohms on-resistance at a P4.5-V gate drive and 265 milliohms on-resistance at a P1.8-V gate drive (Si3905DV). The dual n-channel Si3948DV offers on-resistance of 105 milliohms, while the n- and p-channel Si3552DV provides n-channel on-resistance of 105 milliohms and p-channel on-resistance of 200 milliohms at a 10-V gate drive. Target applications for the new devices are load switching in cell phones and mobile computing products and driving small motors in hard disk drives, camcorders, and minidisk players. Samples and production quantities of all four new LITTLE FOOT TSOP-6 power MOSFETs are available now, with lead times of 8 to 10 weeks for larger orders. Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., a Fortune 1,000 Company listed on the NYSE (VSH), is one of the world's largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors (diodes, rectifiers, transistors, and optoelectronics and selected ICs) and passive electronic components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, sensors, and transducers). These components are used in virtually all types of electronic devices and equipment, in the industrial, computing, automotive, consumer, telecommunications, military, aerospace, and medical markets. Its product innovations, successful acquisition strategy, and ability to provide "one-stop shop" service have made Vishay a global industry leader.
