European Electronic Components Conference Featured Presentations by Vishay Intertechnology

CARTS-Europe 2000 highlighted the rapid evolution of resistors, capacitors, magnetics, and other electronic "building blocks"used in virtually all products containing electronic circuits, from cell phones to computers to cars to medical equipment tosatellites. It brought together companies that design, manufacture, and market passive electronic components, as well as majororiginal-equipment manufacturers such as Agilent Technologies, Alcatel, DaimlerChrysler, Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia, Nortel,and Panasonic.

The event included a market overview by Dennis Zogbi of the Paumanok Group, a forum on trends and new technologies, and symposium papers from a wide range of technical experts. Participation by Vishay included two seminars, six papers, and thekeynote address, presented by Glyndwr Smith, Assistant to the CEO and Senior Vice President. Vishay papers focused onpassive-component testing and use in the telecommunications, computer, automotive, and other industries.
