Vishay Promotes Glyndwr Smith to Executive Vice President

MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA — August 4, 2003 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH), has promoted Glyndwr Smith to Executive Vice President. He begins the new position immediately.

In addition to serving in his new position of Executive Vice President, Market Intelligence, Smith will remain Assistant to the CEO. He is also Chairman of the Board of Siliconix incorporated, an 80.4%-owned subsidiary of Vishay.

Smith represents Vishay in many industry association positions, including EIA Treasurer, ECA past Chairman, and director of the EDS and ECTC conferences.
