Vishay Releases New Technical Guides on Bulk Metal® Foil Resistors for Audio Noise Reduction and for Military/Aerospace Applications

Malvern, Pa. — January 18, 2006 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announces that it has released two new brochures on ultra-high-precision Bulk Metal® foil resistors. One brochure, titled Audio Noise Reduction Through the Use of Bulk Metal ® Foil Resistors, explains how to select resistors for low-noise audio applications. The other brochure, titled High-Precision Bulk Metal ® Foil Resistors for Military and Aerospace Applications, provides technical data on Vishay’s extensive portfolio of foil resistors.

Invented by Dr. Felix Zandman in 1962, Bulk Metal foil resistors were (together with foil resistance strain gages), the first products manufactured and marketed by Vishay.
