Industry-First High-Voltage 100-V Trench MOS Barrier Schottky
(TMBS®) Rectifiers
The Key Benefits:
Extremely low VF and superior switching performance, which improve the efficiency of switchmode power supplies (SMPS)
Low VF reduces power loss and improves efficiency of the OR-ing diode in the high-voltage output of redundant SMPS for servers, industrial computers, and telecommunication systems
The Key Applications:
Secondary rectification circuit of SMPS and adaptors for desktop PCs, servers, notebook PCs, plasma display panel (PDP) TVs, LCD TVs, and monitors
OR-ing diode of redundant SMPS for servers, industrial PCs, and telecommunication systems

The Perspective: The new TMBS® (Trench MOS Barrier
Schottky) rectifiers in various packages are optimized for 40-W to 800-W high-frequency SMPS applications.
They include the industry-first VTS40100CT device; which is the lowest-VF Schottky rectifier with 40-A and 100-V ratings in the TO-220AB package type. Its lower forward voltage drop and better switching performance make the VTS40100CT a superior alternative to planar Schottky devices. The TMBS Schottky rectifier family also includes new devices with industry-first current and voltage ratings and offering very low forward voltage drops.
The TMBS Schottky rectifiers can also be used as an alternative to synchronous rectification (SR) solutions while matching their efficiency and thermal performance.
