Choosing the Right AGC Value for Your Application

No single automatic gain control (AGC) algorithm can completely pass encoded data signals while suppressing all noise. Therefore, Vishay has developed four different AGC response algorithms based on coding schemes and ambient noise conditions. These AGC algorithms allow you to choose the most appropriate receiver for your application.
