New CDHV Surface-Mount Thick Film Chip Resistor Divider

The News:

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announces the release of the new CDHV, a surface-mount chip resistor divider with a small size profile that achieves outstanding ratio stability under high voltages.

Features:

  • Voltages up to 3 kV
  • Excellent voltage coefficient down to 5 ppm/V
  • Resistance values of 1 megohm to 20 gigohms
  • Broad range of standard and custom resistance ratios from 10:1 to 500:1
  • Outstanding ratio stability of <0.03 % at full power and 70 °C at 2,000 hours
  • Absolute resistance tolerance options range from ±20 % down to ±1 %, with ratio tolerance options to 1 %
  • Temperature coefficient of resistance is available to ±100 ppm/°C over a -55 °C to +150 °C operating range
  • Small 2512 case with choice of top-only or wraparound terminations

The Key Applications:

  • Voltage division in high-voltage power supplies, inverters, regulators, and control circuits
  • End products to include power supplies and inverter controls

The Key Benefits:

  • Provides less than 0.03 % stability in a broad range of resistance ratios from 10:1 to 500:1, even under high voltages up to 3 kV
  • Facilitates space savings for circuit designers with small 2512, surface-mount case

Availability

Samples and production quantities of the new CDHV are available now, with lead times of six to eight weeks for larger orders.
