DRW-M100

Overview:
The DRW-M100 is a comprehensive development kit that was designed to aid in low-level firmware application development for applications based on the RFW122 transceiver chipset together with the RFW-M100 MCU. The RFW-M100 is a dedicated MCU with an internal link manager (based on the RFW-D100 link manager logic) to the RFW122. The DRW-M100 is designed for firmware developers and RF engineers that are interested in a thorough evaluation and fast development of Vishay RFWaves chipset based applications. Working with a protocol software stack provided for peer-to-peer, star or other topology networks, developers can easily build customized communication solutions.

By utilizing the protocol support of the RFW-M100 MCU (which is based on the RFW-D100), wireless application development is simplified to passing bytes of information - no extensive data stream management overhead is required. Therefore, an application all needed an application layer which interfaces to the MAC software layer.

By utilizing the RFW-M100 as the MCU and the RFW122 RF modem, developers can concentrate on designing innovative application features without the burden of extensive protocol development.

Using the DRW-M100 developers can reduce design complexity, lower design costs, and shorten time to market.

Description:
The DRW-M100 provides a complete design platform for quick development of applications using the RFW122. The development board allows the developer to download and debug the application since it is also an ICE socket and immediately start application development with no special hardware considerations.

A basic application provided with the kit enables a working communications example right out of the box.
