RFW122-MB with BALUN
Vishay RFWaves offers a reference design / samples of the RFW122-M RF module with standard 50ohm unbalanced RF interface. This module is ideal for connection of standard external antennas or direct connection to standard lab equipment (such as a spectrum analyzer). The offered design includes an RF122-M module connected through a ceramic BALUN component to a standard 50ohm SMA connecter.

Vishay RFWaves CSMA protocol source codes
The Vishay RFWaves CSMA protocol has been developed especially for the RFW122 chipset and RFW-D100 link manager. The offered source code can run on a simple low performance MCU with 8051 core. Other MCU types are supported as well.

The CSMA protocol can be easily configured to easily interface with any application software. It allows the implementation of various network topologies, such as the simplest peer to peer topology, or the more complex star topology with a large number of nodes. It allows to efficiently manage the power consumption of the EFW122 and RFW-D100 in order to achieve the lowest average power consumption. The protocol uses retransmission and acknowledgment mechanisms to ensure a reliable connection. A carrier sense and RSSI mechanisms are supported to achieve optimal coexistence with other transmitters and avoid interference.
