Standard and Custom System Availability
Standard load cells like KIS or KISD and customized load cells can be used, depending upon the application. Most crane scale load cells are structured as a shaft for easy retrofit into existing mechanical structures. Custom-made load cells, designed to replace an existing shaft, are constructed with dimensions equal to the original, resulting in minimal modifications to the existing mechanical part. This significantly reduces crane/production downtime during retrofit procedures.
All cranes scale load cells are designed for high accuracy, and environmentally protected to withstand extreme industrial environments. Scale accuracy ranges from 0.02% on lighter weight applications to 0.2% on large 200-300 ton systems.
Load cells can be placed in several positions on the crane, under the trolley, as a shaft in a pulley wheel, or in the hook.
