A high speed-converting machine that produces rolls of paper towels requires precise measurement and control for a 30 lb roll with 25 lb web tension. Machinery operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Vishay Solution
Vishay BLH installed precision LTT Transducers with a high speed LCp-100 transmitter.
Temperature compensated LTT Transducers are gauged in a full Wheatstone Bridge configuration to eliminate signal drift and frequent recalibration requirements. Inherent scribe marks at 10° intervals permit the transducers to be rotated to the exact angle of web tension inclination for maximum measurement accuracy.
The high speed LCp-100 reads the transducer signals and updates the analogue output 120 times per second. High-speed updates facilitate constant machine operation at full speed.
