Crane scale overload control system

Application Requirement
Conventional and trolley type crane scales require fail-safe overload control systems.
Customer Concern
To protect personnel, products, and manufacturing equipment, overhead trolley and crane scales must be equipped with overload control safeguard systems.
Vishay Solution
Load cells, typically small in size, are fitted inside the pulley wheels to monitor system weight and balance. A standard weight transmitter with setpoint control capability provides go/no-go supervision for each lift. The number of transmitters required depends upon how many lifting points are being monitored.
The solution may include standard load cells (KOSD or KISD). Sometimes, however, customized load cells offer a better solution, depending upon on the crane position and mounting space available.
