Application Requirement
Small pharmaceutical bioreactor batch tanks require precise weight measurement and accurate, repeatable return-to-zero afterwards for product validation approval.
Customer Concern
Small, low-capacity bioreactor vessels are extremely sensitive to environmental changes, physical contact, and variable capacity recipe changes. Incorrectly installed weighing equipment often fails to return to the baseline zero reading after processing, thereby failing validation acceptance requirements.
Vishay Solution
Vishay BLH installed ultra-sensitive KIS-3 Weigh Modules. KIS-3 Weigh Modules consistently provide accuracy of 0.02% with 0.01% repeatability, even when recipe proportions only partially fill the small bioreactor reactor vessel.
The cylindrical KIS Beam design rejects side and other extraneous load forces in order to pass only the true vertical weight force signal. Available thermal pad kits shield the weigh modules from process heat levels that affect conventional load cell accuracy.
Resulting precise weighments with consistent return-to-zero performance meet all validation requirements.
