Vishay Confirms Surface-Mounted Conformal-Coated Tantalum Capacitor Availability
MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA - August 19, 1999 - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., confirms the availability of surface-mount, conformal-coated tantalum chip capacitors that can be used as drop-in replacements for industry-standard surface-mount, molded tantalum chip capacitors that are in short supply worldwide. The Vishay Sprague 595D and 594D conformal-coated capacitors are being used as substitutes for a wide range of molded tantalum capacitors.
The model 595D and model 594D conformal-coated capacitors comes in case sizes with a wide range of capacitance ratings that offer the same footprint as molded tantalum parts. The 595D and 594D feature higher voltage ratings and lower equivalent series resistance (ESR) than their molded equivalents. Both the 595D and 594D are ideal for use in desktop PCs, notebook computers, and cell phones, as well as other applications.
The Vishay Sprague 595D conformal-coated tantalum chip capacitor also offers a new extended capacitance range and operating temperatures of -55°C to +125°C, compatible with EIA 535BAAC and CECC 30801.
Samples and production quantities of both the 595D and 594D conformal-coated tantalum chip capacitors are available now, with lead times of up to eight weeks for larger orders.
