BCcomponents at forefront of polypropylene film capacitor technology
October 3, 2000 — BCcomponents, one of the world's largest manufacturers of passive components, today announced an important extension to its highly successful MKP338 X2 series - the MKP338 1 X1 440 Vac series, intended for use in general industrial applications as X2 or X1 interference suppression film capacitors.

The MKP338 1 440 Vac series has the benefit of small dimensions and an increased rated voltage of up to 440 Vac, making it suitable for use in 3 phase applications demanding higher rated voltages in X2 or X1 class film capacitors. The series allows a capacitance value of up to 1 μF, with a pitch size of up to 27.5 mm.

The smaller size of the 338 1 440 Vac series, which is smaller than similar types on the market, gives designers the ability to significantly reduce the size of end products. Safe for use at temperatures as high as 105 °C and certified to all international safety approvals, including IEC 384-14 2nd edition / EN 132400 and UL1414, the new series can safely be used in equipment in all worldwide markets.
The 338 1 440 Vac series is supplied either loose in box, taped on ammopack or on reel. Customised versions are available on request. Datasheets and design-in support are also available and can be found on this website.
