Vishay's Smith Appointed Chairman of Electronic Components Association
March 21, 2001 - Mr. Glyndwr Smith, Assistant to the CEO and Senior Vice President of Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH), has been appointed Chairman of the Board of the Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (ECA), which is a sector of the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA).
ECA President Bob Willis noted, "As chairman, Smith will lead the ECA Board in furthering goals of the ECA 2000 program launched last year, including increasing membership and web sponsorship, extending conference offerings, and making industry research available to a wider audience."
