157 PUM-SI miniature snap-in electrolytic capacitor gives longer life at reduced cost
May 15, 2001 — BCcomponents today launches the upgraded 157 series. Through extended in-application testing and production experience, the new 157 PUM-SI electrolytic capacitor has been optimised to satisfy market demand for longer life expectation and temperature endurance at a reduced cost.
The new 157 power ultra miniature snap-in series is suitable for smoothing and filtering of voltages in audio/video systems, switch mode power supplies, EDP products such as PCs and general industrial products such as light motor controls.
“The 157 PUM-SI remains low cost but with the advantage of improved performance,” said Roger Appelo, Product Manager, Electrolytic Capacitors, BCcomponents. “The 157 series is a cost-effective solution to market trends for increased lifetimes and higher temperature tolerances.”
The rated capacitance range is 56 to 2200 μF. Useful lifetime is 5000 hours at 85 °C, with a rated voltage range of 200 V to 450 V.
