BCcomponents welcomes newest addition to family of snap-in capacitors
July 4, 2001 — BCcomponents today launches a new addition to its popular family of snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors, the 197 PGP-SI.
The 197 PGP-SI is a general-purpose power capacitor targeting consumer applications such as audio-visual equipment, domestic appliances and PCs.
“The 197 PGP-SI is ideal for those market products that have set life expectancies, such as the consumer electronics market,” said Roger Appelo, Product Manager, Electrolytic Capacitors at BCcomponents. “The 197 series has been developed specifically to cater for customers who are looking for a high quality, cost-effective solution.”
The 197 PGP-SI capacitance range is 56 to 1800 μF, and its voltage range is 160 to 450 Volts, depending on case size. The category temperature range is −40 °C to +85 °C and the product's load life and useful life at 85 °C is 2000 hours, while its useful life at 40 °C is 25000 hours.
