New Vishay IHLP Inductors Feature 6.5 mm Height Profile, Saturation Currents Up to 120 A, and Inductance Values of 5.6 μH, 6.8 μH, 8.2 μH, and 10 μH
New Additions to IHLP Series Have Typical DCR Values Down to 0.47 mΩ
MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA — September 10, 2004 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced four new additions to the IHLP family of low-profile, surface-mount inductors, which now includes standard inductance values ranging from 0.10 μH to 10.0 μH with typical DCR values as low as 0.47 mΩ, saturation currents from 15.5 A to 120 A, and low losses at frequencies up to 5 MHz.
The devices released today provide inductance values of 5.6 μH, 6.8 μH, 8.2 μH, and 10 μH with a tolerance of ▒20%.
The patented Vishay Dale IHLP series offers designers higher-performing, power- and space-efficient inductor solutions that measure just 0.508 in. by 0.520 in. by 0.256 in. [12.9 mm by 13.2 mm by 6.5 mm]. Each inductor is packaged in a self-shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to ultra-low levels while meeting military specifications for resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.
Target IHLP applications include dc-to-dc conversion and energy storage in end products such as computers, servers, telecom systems, and automotive electronics. In these systems, IHLP devices handle high transient spikes without saturation and at full rated current provide an inductance drop of less than 20% - significantly less roll-off than ferrite materials. All inductors in the IHLP family are 100% lead (Pb)-free and meet RoHS standards.
Samples and production quantities of the new IHLP-5050FD-01 inductors are available now. Lead time for production quantities is seven weeks.
