Vishay Extends IHLP® Family of Low-Profile, High-Current Inductors With New Device in the 6767 Case Size
New Inductor Offers 17.15-mm by 17.15-mm Footprint, Maximum Frequency to 750 kHz, and Maximum DCR Down to 0.67 mΩ
MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA — Sept. 9, 2009 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today launched a new IHLP® low-profile, high-current inductor in the 6767 case size, featuring a 17.15-mm by 17.15-mm footprint and 7.0-mm profile. The IHLP-6767GZ-11 offers currents up to 75.5 A and standard inductance values from 0.33 μH through 100 μH, the industry’s highest for a composite surface-mount inductor.
With a frequency range up to 750 kHz, the new IHLP-6767GZ-11 serves as a high-performing, space- and power-saving solution for voltage regulator module (VRM), dc-to-dc converter, and noise filtering applications in end products including next-generation mobile devices; desktop computers, servers, graphic cards, and automotive systems; low-profile, high-current power supplies and point of load (POL) converters; distributed power systems; and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
The IHLP-6767GZ-11 offers an inductance range from 0.33 μH to 100 μH, a saturation current range from 4 A up to 66 A, a heat rating current range from 5 A to 75.5 A, and maximum DCR from 0.67 mΩ to 110 mΩ.
The new inductor handles high transient current spikes without hard saturation. Packaged in an RoHS-compliant, 100 % lead (Pb)-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to ultra-low levels, the new device is specified for an operating temperature range of − 55 °C to + 125 °C, with high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.
Samples and production quantities of the new inductor are available now, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks for large orders.
