Vishay to Highlight Latest Capacitors for “Green” Energy Applications, Crowbar Resistors, Thick Film Power Resistors, and Power MOSFETs at PCIM Asia 2011
MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA — June 13, 2011 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that its latest industry-leading capacitors, resistors, and power MOSFETs will be on display in booth A15 and A16 at PCIM (Power Conversion, Intelligent Motion) Asia 2011, taking place June 21-23 at the Shanghai International Convention Center in China.
PCIM Asia is the leading international exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, and power quality. At the conference, Vishay will be demonstrating several of its capacitors for “green” energy applications, including wind turbines and solar inverters. Devices on display at Vishay’s booth will include snap-in and screw-terminal power aluminum electrolytic capacitors, low-voltage metallized film capacitors, and DC-link and AC-filtering capacitors for power electronics and power correction controllers.
Vishay will also be showcasing its Draloric/Beyschlag crowbar resistors, in addition to thick film power resistors with high power dissipation and wide resistance ranges for power conversion applications, and high-current thermal fuses featuring high operating temperatures and rated currents for automotive applications.
Highlighted power MOSFETs for power conversion applications will include the industry’s smallest chipscale MOSFETs, space-saving PowerPAIR® devices, next-generation 40 V to 100 V MOSFETs with industry-low on-resistance, and high-voltage super junction devices for high-current power factor correction and AC/DC applications.
