Vishay Intertechnology to Present West China Power Seminars in Conjunction with China Electronic Fair on August 23 and 25 in Chengdu and Xi’an
Seminars to Explore Capacitors, MOSFETs, Power Modules, Diodes, and Optocouplers in New Energy, Military, Communication, and Industrial Applications
MALVERN, Pa. — August 11, 2011 — In conjunction with China Electronic Fair (CEF), Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (VSH: NYSE) will be presenting West China Power Seminars from 9:30 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. on August 23 at the Chengdu MINYA Hotel, and on August 25 at the Xi’an Quijang International Conference and Exhibition Center. Each seminar will include four technical presentations by experts exploring capacitors, MOSFETs, power modules, diodes, and optocouplers in new energy, military, communications, industrial power, and other industries. Geared toward R&D engineers, the seminars will be given in Chinese and are free for CEF attendees.
From 9:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. on August 23, and 10:10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. on August 25, Tony Wei will discuss the use of diodes and power modules in solar and industrial applications. He will explore the use of low-forward-voltage-drop 45 V TMBS Schottky diodes as bypass diodes in solar junction boxes, and inverter power modules, FRED® Pt ultra-fast diodes, and thyristors in different types of solar inverters.
Jose Espina and Xiao Lu will discuss system design improvement using optocouplers from 10:10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. on August 23, and 11:30 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. on August 25. Their presentation will focus on how optocouplers can greatly increase the performance of existing system as well as provide safe isolation from lethal voltage levels.
From 10:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on August 23, and 9:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. on August 25, Vincent Tong will explore the wafer fabrication and packaging technology of Vishay Siliconix high-, medium-, and low-voltage MOSFETs, in addition to power supply management in UPS, communication, and alternative energy applications.
Michael Huang will discuss the use of Vishay capacitors in military and alternative energy applications from 11:30 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. on August 23, and 10:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on August 25. The presentation will focus on Vishay’s DC-link film capacitors, aluminum 101/102 PHR-ST series, high-reliability tantalum capacitors, and high-reliability MLCC devices.
