Vishay Intertechnology to Highlight Leading Military-Qualified, DSCC-Approved, and COTS Resistors, MLCCs, and Tantalum Capacitors at CMSE 2013
MALVERN, Pa. — Feb. 12, 2013 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE:VSH) today announced that the company will be exhibiting its extensive offering of military-qualified, DSCC-approved, and COTS resistors, high-reliability multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), and tantalum capacitors at the 2013 Components for Military and Space Electronics (CMSE) conference and exhibition. The event will take place Feb. 19-22 at the LAX Radisson Hotel in Los Angeles.
CMSE is the premier conference on designing military and space systems with military-qualified and COTS components, subsystems, and software. At the show, Vishay will be showcasing a wide variety of military-qualified resistors with established reliability. These will include metal, thick, and thin film chip resistors; leaded and housed wirewound devices; and thick and thin film resistor networks.
Vishay’s line of high-reliability MIL-PRF-55681-qualified MLCCs will be on display, in addition to DSCC-approved devices for high-frequency applications. The MLCCs are available in a wide range of body sizes from 0402 to 3640 and with BP, BR, and BX dielectrics. The devices offer a Precious Metal Electrode (PME) internal construction.
Featured military-qualified tantalum capacitors at CMSE 2013 will include through-hole, surface-mount, and high-energy wet tantalum capacitors; hermetically sealed solid tantalum through-hole capacitors with high reliability and low current and dissipation factor; and conformal-coated tantalum chip capacitors. Rounding out Vishay’s offering will be Hi-Rel COTS solid surface-mount tantalum capacitors with MIL screening and voltages to 75 V.
Vishay will also be highlighting high-precision resistors for non-QPL military applications. On display will be ribwound and roundwire resistors with power ratings to 2000 W and resistance down to 0.010 Ω; Power Metal Strip® resistors; metal film resistors with tolerances to ± 0.01 % and flameproof devices with power ratings to 3 W in compact sizes; high- and medium-voltage thick film chips; and high-stability through-hole and surface-mount thin film networks.
