Vishay Intertechnology to Exhibit Industry-Leading MOSFETs, ICs, Passive Components, Diodes, and Optoelectronics at APEC 2016
MALVERN, Pa. — Mar. 14, 2016 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced its technology lineup for the Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC) 2016, taking place March 20-24 in Long Beach, California. In booth 2017, the company will be highlighting its latest industry-leading power MOSFET, IC, passive component, diode, and optocoupler technologies for a wide range of applications.
At APEC 2016, Vishay Siliconix’ power MOSFET focus will include the 600 V E Series SiHH26N60E in the compact PowerPAK® 8x8 package, which is 57 % smaller than the TO-263 (D2PAK) with one-fifth the height. The device features a Kelvin source connection to increase efficiency by improving the gate drive signal, and delivers low on-resistance down to 0.135 Ω at 10 V for extremely low conduction and switching losses. Also on display will be SUM70040E and SUP70040E 100 V ThunderFET® n-channel power MOSFETs with maximum on-resistance of 4 mΩ, which is 60 % lower per mm2 than previous-generation devices.
For next-generation notebooks, ultrabooks, and desktops, highlighted power ICs from Vishay Siliconix will include SiC53x series devices, which combine power MOSFETs, an advanced MOSFET gate driver IC, and a bootstrap Schottky diode in thermally enhanced 4.5 mm by 3.5 mm PowerPAK MLP4535-22L and 5 mm by 5 mm PowerPAK MLP55-31L packages. In addition, SiC46x and SiC43x series microBUCK® fully integrated high-voltage synchronous buck regulators will be on display with output power to 60 W.
Highlighted Vishay Semiconductors diodes will consist of the VSKY20401608 commercial-grade surface-mount Schottky rectifier with high current ratings to 2 A and low forward voltage drop of 510 mV; FRED Pt® Gen 4 ultrafast diodes; and the 600 V and 650 V Trench IGBT platform featuring Punch Through (PT) and Field Stop (FS) technologies for motor drives, UPS, solar inverters, and welding machine inverters. Vishay General Semiconductor will highlight the V8PAL45 TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifier in the low-profile DO-221BC (SMPA) package and the SS2FL4 surface-mount Schottky barrier rectifier in the compact DO-219AB (SMF), in addition to SMBJXXD/C TransZorb® transient voltage suppressors (TVS) in the DO-214AA (SMBJ) and 5KASMC10A through 5KASMC43A PAR® TVS in the DO-214AB (SMC).
Optoelectronics from Vishay Semiconductors will include VOR1142M4 and VOR1121B6 hybrid solid-state relays with load voltages to 400 V, and VOS618A and VOL618A optocouplers featuring low 1 mA drive current and isolation to 5000 V. Also on display will be the VOW3120 2.5 A IGBT and MOSFET driver for motor drives, alternative energy, and welding equipment; the VOW2611 10 MBd high-speed widebody optocoupler with external creepage distance ≥ 10 mm; the CNY65Exi for explosive environments; and the IL300 linear optocoupler with 0.01 % servo linearity.
Vishay’s passive components on display will comprise a wide variety of the company’s latest capacitors, resistors, and inductors. For energy harvesting and power backup applications, featured Vishay BCcomponents energy storage capacitors — ENYCAP™ — will include the 196 HVC series of hybrid devices with energy density of 13 Ws/g, and the 220 EDLC series of electrical double-layer capacitors in power and energy versions. Also on display will be Vishay BCcomponents snap-in 096PLL-4TSI and screw terminal 102 PHR-ST aluminum capacitors for drive applications; the industry’s first Y1 20 nF capacitor — an extension of the Vishay Cera-Mite 440L series — and Vishay BCcomponents AY2 and VY1 compact series of AC-line-rated ceramic disc safety capacitors; Vishay Roederstein MKP1858 and MKP1847 metallized polypropylene capacitors for DC-linking and AC filtering; and Vishay ESTA GLI, EMKP, HDMKP, and DCMKP capacitors for power electronics.
Highlighted resistors will consist of the Vishay Dale WSHM2818 Power Metal Strip® current sense resistor with high power to 7 W; Vishay Draloric AC..CS axial silicone-cemented fusible wirewound safety resistors for electric appliances and energy meters; Vishay Beyschlag MMA 0204 HV and MMB 0207 HV professional high-voltage thin film MELF resistors with high continuous operating voltage up to 1000 V; the Vishay MCB WCR water cooled wirewound resistor; Vishay Sfernice LPS, DTO, and D2TO thick film power resistors; Vishay Milwaukee GRE1 and GRE2 grid resistors with high power to 24 kW; and Vishay Huntington FST and FVE tubular wirewound resistors. For temperature sensing, the Vishay BCcomponents AEC-Q200-qualified NTCALUG01T NTC lug sensor and PTSCL03 and NTCLE213 mini leaded thermistors will be on display.
Featured Vishay Dale low-profile, high-current inductors will include the new IFLR series single-turn devices with current ratings up to 50 A; Automotive Grade IHLD and IHLP® series inductors with operating temperatures up to + 180 °C; and IHCL series composite-coupled inductors for use in SEPIC DC/DC converters. Vishay will also hold demonstrations of its new IHLE series inductors with integrated e-shields and IWTX and IWAS wireless charging transmitter and receiver coils. Vishay also offers custom magnetics with knowledgeable engineers that can help you develop unique coil solutions.
