VISHAY ELECTRO-FILMS
Founded in 1974 in Warwick, Rhode Island, Electro-Films, Inc. quickly became an industry leader in thin film resistor technology. The acquisition of Semi-Films in 1987 added a full catalog of chip resistors, MOS chip capacitors and spiral chip inductors giving EFI the widest product portfolio in the thin film industry.
EFI was acquired by Vishay in 2000 and the acquisition and subsequent integration of Aeroflex MIC Technology in 2004 enhanced Vishay EFI’s thin film capabilities. With over 40 years of experience in the thin film resistor and substrate manufacturing industry, Vishay EFI has blended engineering expertise with innovative processing and production techniques to emerge as the broadest dedicated supplier for thin film passive components in the electronics industry.
Vishay EFI is housed in a 57,000 square foot state-of-the art facility which contains 11,400 square feet of clean room space. All critical processing takes place in closely monitored class 100 clean rooms, while the remaining, less critical processing is performed in class 1000 clean rooms, other controlled environments, or office environments.
Vishay EFI has a focus on quality and providing the highest reliability components possible. VEFI’s QMS is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (all products) and IATF 16949:2016 (IGBR Products), and our EHS is certified to ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
