VCSEL-Based Proximity Sensor Current Calculator
Vishay’s proximity sensors offer up to 16-bit resolution which allows presence detection up to 20cm. However, even with this superior performance, power consumption is extremely low. This current estimator helps to calculate how much current will be consumed based on the selected parameters. After the user selects the sensor name and parameters, the calculator will display the current consumption in both µA and mA. The image on the right is provided to explain the definition of the parameters.
