High power EDG Series edge power resistors are constructed by coiling a ribbon wire and winding it on edge over specially designed porcelain insulators. The advantage is an open coil construction that allows efficient heat dissipation to easily accommodate surges and overloads. The resistor is also available in many mounting configurations.
With applications in: AC and DC drives, renewable energy, wind turbines, inverters, harmonic filters, load banks, and dynamic braking.
