Vishay Milwaukee Resistor - MCR Series – Metal Case

High power MCR Series metal case resistors are constructed by winding a resistance wire alloy over a ceramic tube core and holding it in place with a silicone coating. The wirewound resistor is then placed inside of a metal case and potted with high temperature cement. The advantage becomes higher heat dissipation which allows for an increase in wattage rating.

With applications in: AC and DC drives, renewable energy, wind turbines, HVAC systems, CNC controls, lighting systems, welding equipment, inverters, harmonic filters, battery monitoring and dynamic braking.
