Thyristors
Thyristors are solid-state semiconductor devices (silicon-controlled rectifiers) with four layers of alternating p-type and
n-type material creating three p-n junctions. They are used in electronic systems for AC/DC and AC/AC conversion in industrial
applications, and for crowbar protection and soft start function. Vishay offers a broad portfolio of power thyristors in different
packages, from plastic discrete to high-power discrete and modules, featuring voltage ratings from 100 V to 2600 V.
